Simon Ng

(B. 1974, Singapore)

Initially trained as a graphic designer, Ng turned to painting at the age of 30. Influenced by European Existentialist painters, his works often include figurative and narrative subjects. These play out like incomplete sentences, providing little reference to prior events or what may follow.

He received a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore in 2009. He was a recipient of the  Winston Oh Travel Award in 2008 and the Winston Oh Postgraduate Fine Art Research Fund in 2012. He is currently a  part-time lecturer at Lasalle  College of  the  Arts.
