In Microworlds artist Huang Mingrong explores the transitional states of textural surfaces. Observing these surfaces at extremely magnified levels, she is drawn to the tiniest detail of debris, wear and tear, dust, or rust. Through painting, these textures are abstracted and become haunting landscapes, expressing abandonment, solitude and stillness.
Huang is a graduate of Lasalle College of the Arts. She lives and works in Singapore.
